Dare To Repair Your Car: A Do-It-Herself Guide to Maintenance, Safety, Minor Fix-Its, and Talking Shop

The Mommies Reviews

I love the fact that Homeschooling opens many doors for our family. Especially when adding Home Economics to our courses. For our family that includes cooking, cleaning and Laundry. I also have Charlie creating a household budget, learning to write checks even though a lot of people don’t use them anymore.

As well as reading a analog clock. Just recently I’ve decided Charlie should also take Driver’s Ed since he turns 16 at Christmas. But with this Charlie has to know basic auto repair I will be adding Auto Body to our classes along with Photography and Coding or Computers if I can get Charlie to do these courses.

To teach this class I knew I would need to hire a teacher since Charlie’s grandfather isn’t doing to well and my dad has passed away. Before you ask what about Charlie’s dad. He could teach the things I want Charlie to know but they butt heads to much. It would be easier to teach Charlie myself.

Which means not only will Charlie be learning Auto Body, but I will as well. Which is why when we stopped at the library the other day Charlie showed me Dare To Repair Your Car: A Do-It-Herself Guide to Maintenance, Safety, Minor Fix-Its, and Talking Shop with my favorite lady Rosie on the cover. This book reminds me of the Dummy books. I can’t wait to sit down and read through the book with Charlie who says he needs a mainly auto mechanics book like Auto Repair For Dummies.
