Charlie returns to school next week I wanted to pick up a couple novels to read at Half Price Books. As I was looking online I found the following books from Danielle Steel.
#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • In this powerful novel, four trauma doctors—the best and brightest in their field—confront exciting new challenges, both personally and professionally, when given an unusual opportunity. When an unspeakable act of mass violence galvanizes them into action, their temporary life in Paris becomes a stark turning point: a time to face harder choices than they have ever made before—with consequences that will last a lifetime.
Meet the characters
Tom Wylie: Charming and flirtatious, Tom loves to entertain nurses with his funny, outrageous stories. He’s one of the most well-liked doctors in Oakland, and one of the most talented.
Stephanie Lawrence: Stephanie is a rising star at UCSF. Married with two kids, she’s often torn between work and family. But nothing will stop her from being an ambitious and respected leader in her department (including her failing marriage).
Wendy Jones: Quiet and reserved, Wendy is an excellent doctor completely fulfilled by her work. When not at the hospital (or with the married man she’s secretly dating), she likes to spend time at symphonies, ballets, and museums.
Bill Browning: Straightforward, honest, modest, and hardworking, Bill is everything you want in a trauma surgeon. Divorced with two kids who live in London, Bill is a true professional who keeps his (non-existent) personal life private.
