The other night David offered to take Charlie and me to dinner. As we discussed where we wanted to have dinner at Charlie mentioned we hadn’t been to Dairy Queen in a while. I agreed with Charlie and let David know I wouldn’t mind eating at Dairy Queen because they serve down home Texas cooking. I like how there is a variety of food for anyone you bring with you.
I have been eating at Dairy Queen since I was a child and at one time my mom worked for one in Fort Worth so it is nice to visit Dairy Queen and share stories of my family with Charlie. David and I were able to share with Charlie how Dairy Queen used to be across the street from the High School we attended. Almost everyday for lunch I would order Onion Rings because Dairy Queen made the best ones around.
Once we finished dinner Charlie asked if he could get a Ice Cream which was fine with me. As his Kids Meal always has a coupon for a free Ice Cream on the sack. Charlie always orders a Chocolate Dipped Cone which both of us enjoy a lot. We love Magic Shell they use for the chocolate. For me I have gotten the kids meal in the past and I always switch which Ice Cream I choose from a Ice Cream Sandwich, Bully Bar, Sundae or a Chocolate Covered Cone I put inside our cup because I am not much for Ice Cream Cones although at times I will eat one.
I have a question for you do you have a Dairy Queen in your Hometown? Have you eaten at a Dairy Queen? If so what do you like to order? Because for me I always switch my order around although Charlie stinks to Chicken Fingers and David to a plain Hamburger or a Hotdog Combo which you can get with Fries or Tatar Tots.
