Charlie, David and I were able to do something different for Valentines Day this year. We attended a Comedy Show called Curtis Needs A Ride. They were hosting a Fundraiser to raise money for Justin’s Place.
Curtis Needs A Ride was being held at the Ridglea Room in Fort Worth. My family was excited to learn there would be a new food truck South of the Line which will debut its fried hot chicken menu outside the theater.
That evening as we was preparing to leave Charlie and David asked me what we would be having for dinner. I let Charlie and David know there would be a Food Truck outside the Ridglea Room.
As soon as I mentioned South of the Line to Charlie and David they couldn’t wait to get to Curtis Needs A Ride. We all had been wanting to try Hot Chicken which we learned about through a Cooking Show Charlie and I watch.
I would like to let you know Curtis Needs A Ride’s show was called The Swipe Right Comedy Show. I thought this was such a cute name and the name of the Comedy Show makes you wonder what would be happening. Keeping all of us on our toes.
Once we arrived after ordering Dinner Charlie, David and I walked inside. Charlie and I went to find seats which was open seating. The Ridglea Room didn’t assign us seats which was nice because we were able to get up close where we could see everything.
David went to the Bar and ordered himself a Beer. Being the gentleman David is he even surprised me with my favorite drink. A Rum and Coke which had the perfect ratio of Rum to the Coke. The prices were fair and I wouldn’t have felt bad ordering a second drink which I didn’t do.
Charlie and I enjoyed walking around the Ridglea Room looking at all of the decorations. We found Valentines Day Mad Lib’s and a sketch pad where we could draw our Valentines.
I asked Charlie and David if they wanted to fill out the Mad Lib’s with me and they did. We had so much fun reading what we wrote down that we was rolling on the floor by the time we got done.
As soon as The Swipe Right Comedy Show begin. The host went over what would be happening I could’t wait for the show to begin. Because being interactive means everything would be different.
You could watch The Swipe Right Comedy Show over and over and still not know what was going to happen. As first Charlie felt a little bit out of place but the more he looked around the room the more children he saw the more comfortable Charlie became.
As the show begin and they begin to ask questions it was fun listening to David to see if he knew the correct answers to the questions including how long we had been married and yes, David did remember. Boy was I surprised.
I can tell you I laughed and laughed at there antics. You could tell everyone in the audience was having just as good a time as I did. I can’t wait to see another show put on by Curtis Needs A Ride.
Although the next time we attend Curtis Needs A Ride I would like to bring some of my friends who are married. I know they would enjoy
The Swipe Right Comedy Show as much as my family did.
