I don’t know about in your home or not but cooking dinner in my home is a challenge. Charlie is so darn picky and will not eat a lot of the foods I like. Then there is David “king of no-Veggies” which drives me up the wall. When I love Vegetables and was brought up to have one at ever meal. Which makes finding dishes we will all eat hard.
My best friend Debbie Finney Sutton gave me the following Cookbook Crock Pot Dump Meals, 5 Ingredients or Less, Just Dump and Slow Cookbook and even though I have a Instant Pot I only like using my Electric Skillet or my Crock-Pot and having this Cookbook is going to be a life-change for my family.
From not own I’m not going to worry about what people will or will not eat. I’m going to purchase groceries I can afford and make meals that will leave left-overs for lunch. Charlie and David can either eat these recipes or they can have a Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich or a bowl of Cereal and no, I’m not being mean I’m making things easier on me which will reduce my stress and give me time to do the things I need to do.
If you or someone you know is just learning to cook this is the perfect cookbook to use because it only takes 5 ingredients or less. A lot of the ingredients we have in our pantry and can be used in more than one dish. The Author has included “Slow Cooking Hints and Tips helping a newbie get started cooking. There is a list of supplies we need which I will purchase when I go grocery shopping this week.
I had planned on preparing a Roast this week and I was torn between using the Stove or my Crock Pot and instead of using my recipe I will use the Authors and make my Pot Roast in the over instead of making a plain Roast with Mashed Potatoes and Brown Gravy. Would you like to come to dinner?
Then the next time we make Pulled Pork I can’t wait to let David and Charlie know about Root Beer BBQ Pulled Pork, I know David uses a Beer when he cooks a brisket so I guess Root Beer isn’t any different is it? The Author even teaches us how to make Sides and Desserts in our Crock Pot that I can’t wait to try out.
Including Macaroni & Cheese for Charlie and Candied Sweet Potatoes for David. Then for me there is Slow-Roasted Potatoes. For dessert we can have Easy Chocolate Pudding Cake I know Charlie is going to want to help me prepare. For my sister I would like to make Triple Chocolate Fantasy. Would you like some?
