In the past I shared I would shared Cornbread & Poppy at the Museum (Cornbread and Poppy, 3) we had received for a review with you. I thought I would update the review to make sure you had heard of this children’s chapter book which I’m sure your children will enjoy a lot.

Cornbread & Poppy at the Museum (Cornbread and Poppy, 3) is Matthew Cordell and this book is published by Caldecott Medalist By  Caldecott medalist. This is the 3rd book in the bestselling early reader series tells a story of precious artifacts and priceless friendships.

David was watching a show on my TV last night I didn’t care for. I went to find a book to read when I saw Cornbread & Poppy at the Museum sitting on my desk. I picked up the book to move it and before I sat the book back down I saw myself become intrigued with cover of the book. I opened it up and the illustrations captured my eyes.

I began to read the book and before I knew what was happening I was half-way thought chapter two and didn’t want to put the book down until I finished the story. David asked me what I was doing and I said I am finishing this bool. I showed David the cover and he said it looked like the books I used to read to Charlie. I agreed with David.

David came to sit down with me and thumbed through the book and kept asking me questions about the pictures. Finally I began to read the book to David. Charlie heard me and he came downstairs. Charlie took the book from me and he began reading the story and David helped Charlie. I enjoyed hearing them and seeing them bond over a book.

Charlie let me know he was like Poppy who liked the outside while I was like Cornbread who liked Museums. Charlie loved how they worked out going to the Museum without fighting. Charlie and I loved seeing them in the museum Cornbread accidentally broke something but his friend came to help him out.

Charlie and I are not going to tell you what happened at the end of Cornbread & Poppy at the Museum. We believe you should purchase your own copy and sit down with your family to read the story out loud. Cornbread & Poppy at the Museum is a chapter book prefect for both children and adults of all ages. This book should be on everyone’s library shelf as must-read book.
