I would like to share a new addition to our Back-To- School Gift Guide 2023: Construction Site: Taking Flight! by Sherri Duskey Rinker and Ag Ford which is a ChronicleKids.com. I received this book in exchange for this review and the spot in our Gift Guide.
In the past my family had the opportunity to review Construction Site: Road Crew, Coming Through! and Construction Site: Spring Delight: An Easter Lift-the-Flap Book (Goodnight, Goodnight, Construction Site) and Construction Site: Merry and Bright: A Christmas Lift-the-Flap Book.
I hope you take the time to check out all of these books based on construction and the machines which are from The World Of New York Times Bestseller Goodnight, Goodnight Construction Site. If only I had knew about these books when Charlie was little he would have been a happy camper because David would have been able to share the machines David used at work with Charlie. Including the Forklift he used to drive.
David was leaving for work this morning and saw Construction Sites: Taking Flight sitting on my desk. David asked if this was for Elijah our grandson who loves all things transportation. I told David no, the book would be added to mind and Charlie’s homeschool library because we could use the book when studying transportation.
The my nephew came to visit this morning and he say Construction Sites: Taking Flight sitting on my desk and picked up the book to read to Lily. They liked learning there was six friends starting a new job today. Traffic is at a standstill. Aww oh what is going to happen?
Everyone is late that isn’t good and even the airport is shutdown. Which Lily and David can’t wait to ask there Uncle David if it happens because he works at the airport. They decide there should be a bigger road and a bigger airport. Don’t you agree?
Fire excavators begin to roll. Then the loader joins the team along with a dump truck Charlie’s favorite. There is the airplane and the tractor. The bulldozer is clearing paths. Cement Mixer pours fresh concrete. Did you know there is Hydrant Dispenser and a Tug which pulls the planes.
If you want to take a trip a cargo plane can carry supplies for you. Have you heard of a rubber removal machine? Charlie and I hadn’t until we read the book. look out there is the crane truck. Watch out for skid steer and his stacks of packages.
Oh, no SNOW begins to fall. The planes can’t fly. Tankers come in to spray the runways. Construction crews lend a hand and things get moving again. Once the De-icing truck clears the snow. Wouldn’t you like to have a de-icing truck in the Winter? I would.
To see what else happens in the book you will need to pick up a copy for yourself and make sure and pick up extrac copies for any children you know. As well as for teachers who will be going back-to-school soon and its why you will find this inside our Back-To-School 2023 Gift Guide.
