Good morning, I thought I would start out with Friday morning as this is where my weekend went from happy and excited to just so so. As the phone rang and it was my dad. He was letting me know he would be coming down next weekend for a week. Which I was excited about as I would get to see him.
So I continued to work off and on all day so I would be prepared for the week he would be here. Then as I was leaving to pick Charlie up from school at 3:30 my phone rings again and it is my dad saying he would be here at 10 pm. As he had gotten confused on which weekend my brother was bringing him.
So I pick Charlie up and we rush out to do some quick errands with Davids mom. Then I return home and we run to grab something to eat. By the time we return home Charlie is just crying and crying with his head. So I take his temperature and it is over 103 and rising.
So off we go to the ER and I call my dad to let him know the house is open and to come on in. I would call him from the ER when I find out what is wrong with Charlie.
So we arrive at 6:30 and finally at 8:30 we see the doctor and he rechecks Charlies temperature and gives him some more medicine. If it doesn’t come down they may keep him the doctor says. So at 9:30 they come back in and it has gone down a little so they say we can go home but to watch it and bring him back if it rises again.
I ask the doctor what is wrong and he says a Viral Infection and that it is contagious. So I have to call my dad who says if this is the case he might need to return home on Saturday morning.
So once we return home we all get ready for bed. Charlie and I sleep on the couch so David doesn’t get sick. As by then it is midnight and David has to be up between 2 and 3 to get to work on time.
