I couldn’t wait to share the Color of the Day Challenge June 4th Blue with you. There is so many shades of Blue I could share with you and thought about sharing. Including Charlie’s room which is Blue.
I decided I would share Cookie Monster from Sesame Street. He was Suzzie’s favorite character. I like Snuffleupagus. Who was your favorite character and why?
I let Charlie know I was going to share Cookie Monster with you. Charlie let me know we needed Chocolate Chip Cookies. Since we haven’t ever made Cookies and we have a stove now I think we will back cookies this afternoon.
I got the ingredients ready and I thought you might want to make Original Nestle® Toll House Chocolate Chip Cookies as well. Here is the recipe I will be preparing. Only some of the Cookies were making I will not be adding Nuts because Charlie doesn’t care for them and also, Nuts hurts mine and David’s teeth at times. How about you?
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups NESTLE® TOLL HOUSE® Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- Combine flour, baking soda and salt in small bowl. Beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in morsels and nuts. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.
