Last night David called me to see if Charlie and I would like to go with him to grab something to eat. David was tired and hadn’t eaten all day. David gave us a choice between I Hop and Denny’s. Charlie and I chose Denny’s as we thought they would have a Salad I would like. I would like to share something about Denny’s with you. COCKROACHES!! Are No Big Deal To Denny’s Manager.
Although Denny’s did have Salads, there wasn’t one I would eat which was a tad bit disappointing. Then I decided I would order Potato Skins only they didn’t have Potato Skins on the menu, and this was what I had agreed on since they didn’t have a Salad.
Finally, the waitress came and took our drink orders. Once she came back with Charlie’s Chocolate Milk, she let me know that he had a more significant glass as there weren’t any clean children’s cups.
I have a question for you the restaurant wasn’t busy so why wasn’t someone washing dishes? I can tell you only one waitress was working, no dishwasher and the manager was in the kitchen cooking. Or should I say talking on his CELL Phone glued to his ear.
We decide what we all want for dinner, and we place the order. As I am sitting there, a COCKROACH comes out of the menu, so I ask for the waitress to get me a manager. I let him know what we saw, and all he said was I am sorry we had the inspector out to spray so they will be coming out. Never asked us if we wanted to move to another table or even offering to wipe the table off.
We proceeded to wait for our dinner to arrive. Once it does the waitress drops Davids toast, and they forget one of his eggs. Charlie and I wait for Davids food to come. As we wait for Davids food mine, Charlie’slies food ends up cold, and mine was so greasy it was so hard to eat.
I go to get some jelly out of the container and I touch it and it is all sticky. I dump the jelly out to see which flavors there are and another roach comes crawling out of that container. By then both Charlie and I are disgusted and refuse to eat our dinner. The manager is called over again and still will not do anything about what is happening.
David ends up paying over $30 for the food we couldn’t and wouldn’t eat. As the manager wouldn’t give us a discount or even fix us new food with all the problems we had.
So if you like Denny’s I would like to suggest you steer clear of the Denny’s of Glenview Drive in North Richland Hills, Texas or you might have roaches crawling across your table.
This morning I call the corporate office to let them know what happened and all I get is I have taken the information down and someone will call you back in 3 to 5 days. Which to me is totally unacceptable. I call the restaurant again and I let them know what happened and the manager on duty offers us a free dinner but like I told him why would I want to come back there as I might face the same problems but he says we will not.
I can tell you even though we have free dinner both Charlie and I refuse to go back. Now, my question for you is would you take them up on the free meal? Or would you refuse to go back as well?
