I sat down this morning as I need to spend some time Cleaning and Reorganizing The Blog for the New Year. We will be ready for 2017 I came across this post for the Blogging from A to Z Challenge as I read through it I saw it was for the Letter N.
With the Holidays here sharing this post just made sense as it talked about Nuts and we all know we use Nuts for the Holidays as well as for the days of the year.
I love Pecans, Walnuts, Peanuts, and Almonds. If possible, I would eat nuts every day if I could. I was the only one who would eat nuts as both Charlie and David didn’t care much for them. Unless it was Cashews. Only once again Charlie has changed, and now he will eat the nuts with me especially pecans.
If I get me a can of Planters Mixed Nuts Charlie and David eat all the Cashews out of it. I like Cashews, and I don’t mind any of the nuts inside the can and will eat all of them. Only now, I am sad to say Charlie has started to eat my Pecans and that isn’t OK.
Pecans are my favorite but being a mom, we are supposed to share, aren’t we? I try, and I don’t fuss much when he eats them as he usually shares with me.
This morning I asked Charlie what he likes to do that starts with the Letter N and before he could answer me, David pipped up and says going to the Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge. David and I used to do when we were first together. We would take Leslie and Travis and now that I think about it, we haven’t been Charlie was little.
I think it is time to take Charlie as he loves animals of all kinds. And has been asking about Buffalo’s and if they are real. And there is one at the Nature Center that Charlie would be able to see in person. So as soon as it is pretty. Or I feel better we will be packing a picnic and heading out to the Fort Worth Nature Center & Refuge.
If you are in Fort Worth, have been to the Nature Center & Refuge before what did you like the most about it? What did you like the lest about it? Have you used the Nature Center & Refuge in your Homeschooling classes? If so, how? I thought I might be able to.
Then I asked Charlie and David if there was anything else that started with the letter N that they would like to share and Charlie says yes, Nuts and Bolts as he loves building things especially Robots. Taking his Go Kart apart and putting it back together. Hammering nails is a lot of fun for both Charlie and David. For Charlie, it helps get rid of stress. While causing me fear as I have to worry about what he is nailing together. I have to watch to make sure Charlie doesn’t hurt himself or the dogs.
For us, that is N in a Nutshell, and now that it is almost 10 am and I have been up since 5 am working I think it is time for a quick snack. I sure wish I had some Nuts to munch on, but I am out. That is an extravagance we will have to wait on until we are able to get all the groceries we need. Unless David can bring me a bag home from work which he has done in the past as they use them on the Airplanes.
