Cinemark North East Mall 18 and XD is where we choose to watch Creed 111 yesterday since ‘I’m a member of Movie Awards. Movie Awards allow our family to save on ticket prices and snacks, we purchase. As well as collecting points for free merchandise and movie tickets. As well as special events they host we can attend.
We arrived at the Theater and purchased tickets Creed 111 was shown in both Standard Format and XD. I let the cashier know we wanted the 3:30 movie in Standard Format. I handed the cashier my phone to scan the QR Code. We went over which seats were open. I picked out the seats we wanted to sit in because the ones we usually get were taken.
From the diagram we were shown the entire theater was sold out. When we got inside that wasn’t the case. The seats we always sit in, and more than half the theater was empty, and I don’t know why those seats were blacked out but the next time we go I will ask. Because we had to walk up quite a bit of stairs which sometime, I can’t do.
The movie began and I was confused as first with the storyline but as the movie progressed, I figured out what was going on. I wish I had known the little girl was deaf and part of the movie would have subtitles so I could have prepared David who was missing out because he couldn’t read what they were. saying.
The songs including Dreamville as well as the F word even children 13 and up shouldn’t here and is who this movie is for. These words are ones I don’t approve of especially the N word and wish they had chosen other music. If Charlie had been here he would have walked out and said the music was disrespectful.
I also feel like they left parts of the movie out that was included in the trailers we say. As you would expect in any Creed or Rocky movie there was a lot of violence and blood. Which I don’t care for but was prepared for. Although, at times I could feel myself jumping and covering my eyes because it was too much for me.
Creed 111 is PG-13 and even some 13-year-olds might not be ready to see all of this violence in the movie. If your pre-teen or teen ask to see the film, I would recommend you watching it first or going with them to see if so, you can discuss what is happening in the film and why. My son is 16 and if Charlie decided to see it I would send David or I with him.
As for the acting they all did a wonderful job. The little girl is adorable. I loved Creed’s mom Phylicia Rashad in this movie just as much as I did in the other Creed Movies, she was in. I was excited to find out Michael B. Jordan was the Director and can’t wait to see other films by him which David and Charlie are excited about.
