When Charlie was growing up she used to spend the Summer’s in Oklahoma with my Aunt Sue and Uncle Chuck. Sue would take Suzzane to purchase books to read at night before bed. One year Suzzane purchased Summer Promise by ROBIN JONES GUNN .
Suzzane asked me to read Summer Promise and let her know what I thought of the book. While she began the second book in the series. By the time I finished Summer Promise we was hooked on the series and knew we had to read all of this books.
The funny part is Suzzie passed in 2004 and I still remember this series of books and even books I read in High School with my best friend. But these books top the list of my must read books. I can’t wait to re-read them this year. As I plan on purchasing them and putting them up for my niece Lily when she gets a tad bit older. For me personally I want to reread the entire series all the way through College and the Wedding. I just wish Suzzane was here to re-read them with me.
