I would like to share Wiley Wallaby who sent our family three packages of there Soft & Chewy Licorice in the following flavors Hot Cinnamon, Watermelon and Strawberry in exchange for a review.
I had planned on putting Wiley Wallaby up until we hosted a Movie Night with Charlie and my sister. Last night David and I were watching a movie and David wanted a snack. I handed David the Strawberry bag from Wiley Wallaby because Strawberry is David’s favorite fruit. David opened the bag and I could smell the Strawbery. David took one of the Licorices out of the package. David liked the size of the candy that looks like a solid tube.
The Licorice looked like it would be hard to bite into but it isn’t because its soft not hard. David let me know he liked the flavor a lot. Like any good mom I had to take the bag away from David or he would have finished it last night. I went over the nutrition information with David and told him it suggest he have 3 pieces at a time which would give him 10 servings.
Like any child Davd said no, that isn’t enough he wanted to eat the entire bag of Strawberry candy at once. Knowing this tells me Wiley Wallaby will be a staple in our home year round. There is 0 fat in the bag which is good for people watching there weight. 1 gram of protein which I need on my diet and 12 grahams of added sugar which isn’t to bad for me.
Charlie came downstairs and saw his dad eating the Strawberry Licorice and asked what it was. David showed Charlie the package but Charlie passed like me because he doesn’t like Strawberry that much. I handed Charlie the bag of Watermelon which Charlie was excited to try. Charlie opened the bag and I let Charlie know the bags were reuseable so when he isn’t eating the candy he can close the bag up.
Charlie loved the way the Watermelon smelled. Charlie said this Licorice reminded him of a slice of Watermelon from the grocery store. Charlie handed David a slice of this Licorice and David liked it as well. David asked me if I would order another bag for each of them I plan on doing that this week.
Charlie went back upstairs and I showed David the bag I had kept for myself which was Hot Cinnamon. I opened the bag and David and I each took out a piece of the Licorice to try. I liked the Cinnamon flavor which wasn’t overpowering and even thought its hot the candy wasn’t to hot. David liked the taste just as I did.
Charlie came downstairs later and I showed him my bag and he asked if he could try a piece of my Licorice. Charlie let me know he liked it a lot and so would his grandmother who likes hot or spicy foods. Being low in Sugar even though his grandmother is a diabetic she would be able to have a couple pieces of this Licorice.
If you haven’t had the opportunity to try Wiley Wallaby I hope you do because the flavor is amazing. Charlie David and I went on the website together and they can’t wait to try Classic Red which Charlie said reminds him of Twizzlers. David wants to purchase a package of the 1G Candy for his parents.
