Christmas Light Tour on The Waco Trolley

The Mommies Reviews

Charlie, David and I were blessed to receive 4 tickets to ride The Waco Trolley and attend The Christmas Lights Tour which takes 90 minutes. As you may or may not know Charlie’s best friend Bradley has been staying with us more since his mom will not let her stay in his home.

Not knowing if or when Bradley would have Christmas, I was excited to be able to bring B along with us. We arrived and the boys couldn’t wait to enter the Trolley as they hadn’t ever been on one before. Then went and sat on a padded seat while David and I went to the back of the Trolley to sit on the bench.

As this is where Suzzie would have wanted to sit if she had been with us. I thought I might get cold, so I brought a jacket, but I didn’t as the Trolley stayed nice and warm. Just be careful if you sit on the bench as there is something there that does get hot, but it wasn’t so uncomfortable that I wouldn’t sit there again.

I enjoyed seeing the back of the Trolley all decorated which would have made a nice place to take pictures. Before we started our host Mrs. Fizzle told us about the Trolley and asked if anyone would like Hot Chocolate or Water which was provided.

The boys were surprised to see people bringing their own drinks including Alcohol which David said he would like to bring with him next time. Although, being a family-friendly event that may not happen. We may get Sodas. Charlie and B were fine with Hot Chocolate and Candy Canes they were given.

The Trolly started and off we took, and I was so surprised by how smooth the ride was. I liked being able to see the lights and knowing I wouldn’t need to break my neck trying to watch both sides of the road as she would come back down the other side of the street allowing plenty of time for pictures.

I was glad to learn if we needed to stop for a restroom break that she would. Not, only that we arrived at one display and was able to get out and walk around. All I could say was OMG and I plan on coming back every year to see this house.

If you’re Homeschooling like I am with Charlie, then you could come take the Selfie Tour for a Homeschool Field Trip. Or bring your significant other out for the Brew Bus Tour on Valentine’s Day. Be watching The Waco Trolley website and Facebook pages as events will change throughout the season and even include Bluebonnet pictures which I would like to do with not only my family but Debbie and my niece Lily and my nephew Jason.

For the Historians or Homeschooling Families who are teaching our children History then you will want to check out the upcoming tour for the Waco History Tour. If you’re hosting an event, did you know you can rent out the 28 seat Trolley? Wouldn’t that be fun?

I smoked David and the boys in the Christmas Trivia and one a couple prizes. Although, I hate to admit it David even got one of the questions right, but he wouldn’t answer Mrs. Fizzle and someone else did making David miss out on his prize.
