My family has multiple dogs. Two of the dogs are pretty good about staying in the fence. Although Charlie’s dog Max is a puppy. This morning I would like to share the pod which will keep us from losing our pets.
Max has started to get out of the fence. Charlie and I tying to break Max from this because Charlie would be devastated if we lost Max and David has a Black Lab named Angel.
Angel has learned from Max how to get out of the gate and once she does we can’t catch her. Which scares me as to death because there’s been nights where Charlie and I go to bed and Angel is still outside because its to dark to go and look for her.
When I saw the “PRESS RELEASE” for the Pod I knew the pod would be something that might save Angels life. I contacted the company and they are allowing me to conduct a review for them at the end of December.
In the meantime I wanted to share the “POD” with you because you may have pets who need new and unique items for Christmas. Which is what the “POD” is.
The Pod Story and media background
Last year, Sebastian Langton lost his best friend in the world, Rango, possibly the coolest cat on the planet and his companion through many adventures.
After going through the pain of losing Rango, Seb was determined to find a way to prevent other pet owners from going through the same pain. He learned that one in three pets go missing in their lifetime, which is more than ten million pets a year – and that’s preventable. The idea for Pod was born — a vision to develop the best pet tracker in the world and raise awareness.
He and the Podtracker team built a prototype and launched a global crowdfund campaign that raised more than $150,000 AUD and captured the attention of global and Australian media. It also led pet rescue and animal organisations of all kinds around the world to get involved, as thousands of individuals and hundreds of websites spread the word.
Pod is the smallest, lightest, fully waterproof pet tracking device on the market. 10 million pets go missing every year and 1 in 3 pets will go missing in their lifetime. Pod uses GPS technology to help you never lose your pet again. The small device attaches to your pet’s collar and an included app gives you a real-time location of your animal along with other great activity tracking features. Pod can be purchased at www.podtrackers.com for $199 AUD and will soon be exclusively available at PetBarn across Australia.
Seb and all the team at Pod embrace community and animal-mindedness. We believe that only by making people aware that pets can and should be trackable will it become widely accepted that we don’t have to lose our loved ones and that wearable technology should be for dogs and cats too.:
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
