Holiday Giving Opportunities
If you’re wanting to help local families in need this holiday season, here are some options to consider.
The North Richland Hills Police Department is preparing for the annual Heroes & Helpers event. This event takes a moment to let child victims of crime from our community know how special they are by showering them with love and support around the holidays. You can join in supporting these special kiddos this holiday season!
Monetary donations are being accepted to the NRH CPAAA Venmo: @CPAAA-4301 Memo: Heroes & Helpers; or you can make a direct donation to the Police Department via cash or check. Contact NRHPD Community Resources at 817-427-7021 or email sgibson@nrhtx.com if you have questions or would like more information.
Fire Department Toy & Food Drive
The NRH Fire Department is working with the community to support the Community Enrichment Center of North Richland Hills to provide for families in need in our area. Please drop new, unwrapped toys and non-perishable food items at any NRH Fire Station. Donations are being accepted now through Christmas.
Red Kettle Challenge
Mayor Jack McCarty is competing against Mayors of other area Cities to see who can raise the most money for the Salvation Army this holiday season. If you would like to help, you can donate through the Mayor’s virtual red kettle link.
Helpers will also be ringing the bell at NRH Kroger and WalMart locations on Saturday, Dec. 14. All donations help the Salvation Army assist local families in need at Christmas time and throughout the year.
Whether you give to one of these causes or another charity of your choosing, we thank you for giving back to the community!
