Christmas Eve Reminded Me Of Being A Child

Christmas Eve Reminded Me Of Being A Child

This year Christmas Eve reminded me of being a child more than any Holiday had has in the past. As I was sitting at the dinning room table on Christmas Eve wrapping Gifts. And it didn’t look like there would ever be a end to the mound of presents on the dinning room table. And as usual I didn’t have any help at all wrapping these Gifts.

So the more I wrapped Gifts  the more I remembered Holidays as a child when my mom would be in Walmart’s on Christmas Eve purchasing last minute Christmas Gifts. Then she would come into my room and dump all the gifts into the floor for me to wrap.

So I would beg my grandmother to come in and help me  wrap the presents with me. Only my grandmother  was so tall it was hard for her to get down on the floor but she would sit with me for hours and we would laugh and tell stories.

Every few minutes my sister and brother would try to venture into the room to see what we was wrapping and we would end up sitting in front of the door with our backs on it so they wouldn’t be able to come in.

Then once all the Gifts was wrapped we would open them and it would never fail that some of the Gifts we wrapped was mine and my grandmothers.

So as I got older I would wrap the gifts and if it was clothes or jewelry I would open the packages and wrap them back up and wear the items to school for days before we would even get the gifts.

Now I can’t tell you if my mom knew I did this or not but what I can tell you is I handed this habit done to my daughter as she would do the same things when she was here. So now my question is I wonder if Charlie will do the same things. Or even David although he is Mr. Scrooge and doesn’t even want Christmas.

So this year I was totally disappointed as I didn’t get anything I would use or even want. So I wish I could go back to being a child and letting my parents know what I wanted. But since I can’t I have a code here where I can purchase Gifts for myself. And if you didn’t get anything you wanted then you might want to use this code as well. It is for 20% off your first order! Just type in TJHoliday! at Tommy John.

As for David and Charlie  all they deserves are underwear especially with the Gifts they picked out for me.  I went above and beyond and got them everything they  wanted on there list. But next year all I am getting for both Charlie and David is underwear and more underwear from Tommy John

So if your family upset  you as much as mine did me then make sure you pick out underwear for them from Tommy John and why not get them know when you have a code you can use?

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
