Children’s winter wardrobe: a seasonal exploration

The Mommies Reviews

My family has begun going through clothes for the Winter Holidays as I was looking for jackets I noticed David and Charlie do not have one. Nor does Charlie have hoodies for this Winter as were shopping this year We’ve also adopted a baby from the Salvation Army Tree and we want to get them a winter outfit for Christmas with a jacket.

Practical Choices for baby outerwear

While online we found baby outerwear Charlie and I would like to get a baby girl raincoat with cherry pattern for girls in case it starts raining or  even Snowing while we are out and about. We appreciate the details of the brand Jacadi : ruffles, contrasting fabrics, bows, sequins… Sober and simple, a Jacadi garment really has nothing to prove ! It’s perfect if you want to remain timeless and refined.

David and Charlie said for boys they would like to get him Boy 3-in-1 parka which is complete with a removable quilted jacket that can be taken off when  there is a nip or chill in the air but not down right cold that they need hats and mittens.

Adapting to Texas winter: unique challenges

I don’t know about where you live but in Texas one moment it can be 40 degrees or colder and at the drop of a hat. The weather can get up in the 70’s. If you’re running errands you want the children to be comfortable and it’s easier to take a jacket or  sweater off than changing the children out of snowsuit which before you ask is sold in Texas.

In our home we have a Winter must-have list I thought I would share with you before Winter hits full force and we can’t get to the stores : all need to purchase before Winter Coats, Sweater or Hoodie for inside when it’s nippy. Gloves or mittens and a hat.

Even if the coat you purchase your child has a hood on it, pick up a hat because sometimes the hoods do not stay on as well as we would like. It’s not like when I was a child and there was a string we could tie to keep the hoods on because they’ve been taken off coats because the strings could strangle children. Once again things have changed from when I was a child.

Festive Plans and Invitations

I would like to remind you to be watching our website as we prepare to help Santa with  his Christmas Shopping this year and put together a Christmas Gift Guide not only for the children on your shopping list but pets as well.
