I am here with a new review for Chicken Soup for the Soul. This time I was able to review “The Dog Did What” which I received to review but the thoughts in this review are all mine and mine alone although it is on behalf of “Chicken Soup for the Soul“.
Look at the cute little dog on the cover of the book he reminds me of the puppy David and Charlie would like to have. Although, we have a black Lab and her name is Angel. Angel is someone who is always getting into trouble so the cover of this new book reminds me of Angel as she is always doing things to get herself in trouble. Angel is worse than a two year old. Although I must ask you what you would expect as Angel is just now one.
Chicken Soup for the Soul “The Dog Did What”
I sat down to read the stories in “The Dog Did What” and I found stories I wanted to share with David and Charlie. Although, more than that my step daughter Leslie and my mother n law as they are “DOG LOVERS‘ as well. With Christmas here upon us I can get both of them a copy of The Dog Did What? and not worry about then liking there Christmas presents because I know both Sherry and Leslie would enjoy the new book as much as I did.
I wish Suzzane were here as well as she used to read everyone of the “Chicken Soup for the Soul” books with me. In fact we would go to the library and check out all of the “Chicken Soul for the Soul” books they had then come home and read them together and laughing over the stores we read with each other. In fact we even shed some tears through some of the stories. It was a perfect “MOTHER?DAUGHTER date. I wonder if I could get Charlie to do this with me although, I am not sure I can get Charlie to read them with me since he isn’t much for reading but I know I am going to try as there is nothing bad in the stories you find inside the “Chicken Soup for the Soul” books Charlie shouldn’t read.
If I can get Charlie to doing this with me it will also help Charlie practice his reading and it will help Charlie improve his reading. I just wish I could get David to sit down with us and read the the “Chicken Soup for the Soul” books as I knw he would enjoy the stories inside the books just as much as I do. Especially the “CARTOONS” you find in them.
Now, I have a question for you if you have you “CHICKEN SOUP for the SOUL” “The Dog Did What” can you tell me what your favorite part of the book was and why?
Inside “The Dog Did What” my favorite story was “Houdini Hound. The reason why is we have Max, Charlies Chi weenie and he is a Houdini in his own. way. As well as Charlie’s other dog Lucy who had her back haunch bitten clean through by another dog. I put Lucy inside the “DOG CAGE” and went to bed. Charlie and I zipped the front of the cage up but left the top open. In the middle of the night I woke up and went to check on Lucy who should have been in the cage fast asleep. Although, she wasn’t. “I FREAKED OUT”!! I hollered at David who yelled what and I said I can ‘t find “LUCY”!! David says hold on and I will help look for her. By this time I come walking out of the bedroom and Lucy is laying on Davids arm fast asleep.
All I can say is “DOGS WILL BE DOGS!! You can’t fence them in!!
