Charlie Has Turner Into A Bump On A Log!!

As a mother I can say this Charlie has turned into a bump on a log. Which I figured would happen once Summer was under way. All Charlie wants to do is play on his play station or my phone. Along with watching a movie now and then as long it is a Wrestling movie.

It has been forever since I have gotten him outside so today I play on changing that. So today I plan on putting some rules into place. Which will mean Charlie has to work for at least a hour each day on math or reading. As well as reading a boo for 30 minutes a day. Especially since we have signed up for several free reading programs.

Plus I plan on making sure Charlie is in bed at a decent time because sleeping all day is for the birds. Staying up all night means our bills will go up as the tv will be on almost 24 hours at a time. Which I refuse to happen as I don’t have extra money to pay for this to happen.

So today I have come up with a plan of things Charlie, David and I can do to get us up and moving and which will allow us to spend time together as a family. So I thought I would share some of the ideals with you encase your looking for things to do this Summer.

  1.  At least once a day for  at least 30 minutes we will be going outside to master a new skill. The new skill will either be Basketball or Soccer as Charlie is wanting to play both of these this year and needs to get better at both. Plus, we need to learn the ruled so we know what will be expected of Charlie.

2. Have a DIY Treat of the Week – Learn (right along with your kids) how to make DIY summer treats and make them together on a certain day each week: So today when David is paid I want to see if we can get a Ice cream Freezer or a Blender to help us make these treats with. Although if you ask me a Snow Cone machine would also be awesome.

3. Charlie, David and I are working on the yard still so I have thought of planting more flowers or vegetables. As a Garden would be nice this Winter when we want vegetables. Although I am thinking we might just do a herb garden inside or a container garden inside as it gets to hot outside to work in a garden

Now, I have a question for you which of these ideals would you like to do with your children and why? Or do you have something you think I should add to the list that I left off? If so leave me a comment and I will make sure I add it to a new post as well as do the things you suggest with David and Charlie.

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
