Charlie has been obsessed with Wrestling

Charlie has been obsessed with Wrestling it seems like forever. So the other night when we was in Walmart I told him he could pick out a new pair of shoes, outfit or toy.

So we spent about a hour in Walmarts walking around when Charlie finally decided he would wait on the shoes and outfit he wanted. And asked if he could get a set of Lego’s.

So we all went to the toy department and walked around and around and around it seemed. As Charlie looked and looked for something. And it surprised me when he didn’t ask for a new Wrestler. Especially sense they had Zombie Wrestlers now.

And he finally settled on a Lego City Set that has a Van & Caravan inside it. And it is for children from 5 to 12. And once we got home Charlie sat down to put it together. And

And Charlie would get mad and frustrated and angry and ask David for help. And David would tell Charlie in a little bit he would help him. And Charlie would calm down and work some more by himself.

And low and behold Charlie ended up putting the whole Lego City together by himself without any help from David or I. And I am so Proud of Charlie as the next morning when I got up he showed me what he had made. And I could tell how excited Charlie was that he was able to do it on his own.

And I can’t wait to get more Lego sets for Charlie. And the funny part is I had already put a set in Law A Way at Toys R’ Us as I knew Charlie had been playing with his other Lego sets.

And I proved David wrong as he thought they wouldn’t be played with and would be a waste of money. So once again “mommy knows best.” LOL And the Lego’s work well with Charlies Mind Craft and Halo sets he has from last Christmas.

And Charlie even gets out his Lincoln Logs his grandmother and I purchased for Charlie for Christmas last year and he uses them to build more building to go along with the Lego’s.

And Charlie has even been letting me build different items with him. And I have really enjoyed it as I am getting to spend one on one time with my son. Which doesn’t happen much anymore.

And I mentioned to David how people use Leg’s in there Homeschool classrooms and I can’t wait to find some worksheets and things to share with Charlie and David. So I can show them how it works and so we can use ours in our classroom.

And if you have used Lego’s, Lincoln Logs, Mind Craft or even Halo in your classes Please come and share with me what you did with them and which ones you used. As Charlie and I would like to see everyone’s projects.

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
