Charlie is a Cub Scout finally!! After much calling and waiting I have finally been able to get Charlie into a Cub Scout group. He will be attending on Thursday afternoons from 5:30 to 6:30 at his old school Major Cheney Elementary.
I just wish it was a traditional group but this is a good starting point and in the Summer we can look for a more traditional group since Boy Scout group one only happens during the School year.
What I can tell you is Charlie didn’t want to go and I felt so bad as I went ahead and took him to the Meeting. But by the time I picked him up Charlie was hooked and couldn’t stop talking about it. I think Cub Scouts will be perfect for Charlie and something he and David can do together.

There is a lot of things on the website that Charlie may not get to do since they meet inside the school. So I am thinking of starting our own Cub Scout group and do these things with Charlie and make up our own badges so he gets to experience in all the aspects of Cub Scouts and will not miss out on the things Traditional Troup’s do.
So are you a Cub Scout or do you know of one and is there anything special I should know if I do decide to start my own Cub Scout troop? Other than no Girls allowed?
