We had the school agree to test Charlie for Dyslexia, and I asked the school to also test Charlie for ADHD. The results have came in and Charlie does have Dyslexia.
I sat a meeting up with the school Counselor, Principal and teachers to change the way they teach Charlie. Knowing Charlie is Dyslexic shows me why he struggles with reading.
After our meeting at school I found out they didn’t do test for ADHD which was supposed to have been done at the same time. Once I found this out I was asked to fill out additional papers for Charlie to be tested again.
As I filled the paperwork out I Prayed we would get a answer soon. Being in limbo isn’t good for Charlie or our family. Not knowing affects Charlie’s studies which I hate.
Were waiting for the test results telling us if Charlie has ADHD or not. Although as a mom we know things even without having test being done. Which I did with Suzzane who also had ADHD.
For Charlie, I don’t think he has ADHD and neither does Charlies teachers. Although it will be nice to have the test done so we can be sure. While waiting for the test to come back I’ve been looking for ways to get Charlie more interested in his studies.

I would like to ask you to check out a article called 21 Hands-on Ideas for Spelling From A Seasoned Mom. I made time to sit down and read the article I found ways I can use to teach spelling to Charlie and I can’t wait until Charlie and I are able to sit down and try the tips.
