Charlie and my movie date last night

The Mommies Reviews

My son took me to the Movies at Major Cheney Elementary to see Home and to have dinner!!!

Charlie and I had been planning to go up to his school last night to watch Home. As we both love the movie and the movie was free to see. Then they was selling snacks and pizza and the money went to PE to purchase new equipment. So as soon as Charlie got home we worked on homework. Then I had him get a bath. As well as pack some snacks and a blanket to take with us. As we was sent a note home saying a parent had to accompany the children. Which was fine with me. As I knew I needed a night away from t house as much as Charlie did.

So Charlie and I walk down to the school and there is children everywhere with no parents in site. Finally the Gym Teacher comes to the door and says you may come in but you must have a parent with with. So as I look around I see Mackenzie one of Charlie’s friends and  a old neighbor or ours with a friend of hers. But look no parent. So she is her and the little boy are asked to leave. But her new neighbor offers to let her sit with them

Then AJ and his sisters and  cousins walk up and they have Rechea with them there older sister who is only 14. She gets them all inside the movie then leaves. Which the school knows about as they watch her leave. We sit down to watch Home and these kids are all over the room. They are spilling snacks an standing up and talking. It was awful

Charlie’s friend Bradley and his mom Leslie arrive and come to sit with us and she is just as amazed as I am that these children are not minding and that there is no parents in site. Finally when the movie is almost over the teacher does come up and ask them all to leave. But this is after we missed most of the movie.

So today I have to pick Charlie up at noon and I want to mention it to the school. But David says not to waste my breath as it will not change anything. So I have a question for you all. Would you say anything or not? If not why not? If so what would you say? Because as of now neither Leslie or I will take the boys back to anything happening in the school.

If you have not seen Home here is a link to it on Youtube because it is a cute movie and one Charlie and I plan on purchasing soon.

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
