The Mommies Reviews

Charlie is so funny at times that I wonder whose child he is because his logic just blows me away at times. Which is what happened the other day when we stopped at Walmart. I asked David and Charlie to run and pick up some snacks for the house while I went to check out the books. Charlie said no, we need to wait for you mom someone might take you.

What Charlie doesn’t know is if someone did take me, they would bring me back because I would annoy them within 5 minutes because I would be begging and pleading with them to bring me back because Charlie needs me and he would freak out without his mom. Off we all went to get the snacks we need for everyone’s lunches. Then we headed back to the books.

As I was looking around at all the Danielle Steel books, they had out and trying to decide which one I should purchase when Charlie pointed out Changes. I asked Charlie why I should take it and he says because it is blue, and it is my favorite color so the story inside it must be very good. How could I argue with that logic? Yes, I did purchase Changes.

Once we returned home, I sat down to read Changes and I must tell you Charlie was right it is the perfect book to read on a cold winter day. The story line flows and once you start to read Changes you’re not going to want to put it down or at least I didn’t want to. I laughed and I cried and I also fussed at parts of it but all in all I fell in love with everyone in the book and I wish there was a sequel as I would like to see what happens after Changes.

Top TV anchorwoman Melanie Adams had given up on love after a failed marriage and an unhappy affair. With her two teenage children and her television news career, she had no room in her life for a man. Then she met famous heart surgeon Peter Hallam, a widower with three children of his own. Suddenly Melanie was experiencing feelings she thought were gone forever. But two families (one in New York and one in Los Angeles), two exciting careers, and two strong-willed people were too much to handle. And Melanie faced a painful choice between her glamorous life in the public eye, her private life, the needs of her family, and the new family she took on. Changes lead each of them to new places, new problems, new people, and the new life they begin.
