Charlie Has No Fear At All What So Ever!!!

Bunji Jumping

Charlie Has No Fear At All What So Ever!!! When I say no, fear what so ever I truly mean it. So as we are out and about a lot of times he finds things he would like to do. That scares the bejeebies out of me.

Which is exactly what happened the other day when we was walking around Grapevine Mills Mall in Grapevine, Texas, As they had a gentleman in there with a Bunji Jumping stand set up and Charlie decides he wants to try it out.

So as we are standing there watching the gentleman help some people get ready to Bunji Jump  David walks up and ask use what we are doing. Charlie tells David we are watching them Bunji Jump. So David says well come on lets finish looking aroud the mall.

When Charlie surprises me and tells David no, daddy me and mommy  want to  go Bunji Jumping. So I want to tel Charlie to hold on a cotton picken moment who said I wanted to go Bunji Jumping? Although, when I was younger I always thought I would like to tried Bunj Jumping at least once. But now I am not not so sure I want to go Bunj Jumping anymore especially at my age.

So as we started to finish out shopping I looked at Charlie and I tried to figure out why he would tell his dad I wanted to do Bunji Jumping with him and not ask his dad. Then as I did I looked back at our lives and it is always me who rides things with Charlie. So I had my answer. Which when Charlie grows up means he will have a lot of memories of me and him but not so many of David.

So if you ask me its time David steps up and starts doing more with Charlie. And it doesn’t have to be rides in a amusement park. It could be fishing, or watching Football games together. But it needs to be just them to alone. So they can create memories like Charlie and I have.

So today I have a question for you when your children want to do things that are out of the box who do they want to do those things with them? Mom or day and why would they pick that person and how do you handle it?

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
