Build-A-Bear Workshop

Charlie sometimes comes to me after seeing a commercial on TV and will ask me if he can get that toy he saw through a commercial. Or visit a place he saw on TV or heard about on the Radio.

I would like to let you know this is what happened the other day.  Build-A-Bear commercial came on and they showcase a Black Lab Build-A-Bear carries. Charlie asked me why he hadn’t ever been able to visit Build-A-Beaand make a Bear/ Animal.

I didn’t have a answer for Charlie other than I didn’t know why. Charlie asked me this for his Birthday if we would be able to visit Build-A-Bear.

Once Charlie asked me this I decided I wanted to get him a Gift card. Charlie can go and make a animal of his choice. To make sure the Gift Card wouldn’t go to waste.

Charlie and I visited Build-A-Bear to make sure it would be something Charlie would like to do. Let me tell you both Charlie and I found lots of animals we would like to make.

When Charlie is creating his Build-A-BearI just might create a Build-A-Bear for me. Because I haven’t ever been able to create a Build-A-Bear for myself. Even though my daughter Suzzane did through her Big Sister from Big Sisters and Brothers. I still have Emily the Bear Suzzie made and the Pumpkin Suit Emily wears as Suzzie got her for Halloween.

Quite a while back I was able to work with Build-A-Bear and they sent me Patrick from Sponge Bob Square Pants. I was so excited to get Patrick because he was Suzzanes favorite from Sponge Bob Square Pants.show. I just hated that I wasn’t able to go and experience creating Patrick with my family.Hopefully soon that will change.

In the meantime, I wanted to share some animals we found while inside Build-A-Bear that I feel in love with and the ones Charlie liked as well. Now, I now which animal to go and get Charlie. Unless they come up with a Bulldog and I would get him hands down.

Dinosaur Triceratops Charlie is holding is what he would like to create for himself. Dinosaur Triceratops would be perfect as Dinosaur Triceratops is the first thing we studied in Homeschool this year. Both Charlie and Suzzane love Dinosaurs so it would bring them closer together.

As we was leaving BuildABear, I saw the Teenage Muntant Nija Turtles in the Window. I showed Teenage Muntant Nija Turtles to Charlie. Even though he liked Teenage Muntant Nija Turtles a lot and one year he dressed up as Teenage Muntant Nija Turtles for Halloween along with David and I and knowing this Charlie still wanted to make the Dinosaur.

Before we left Build-A-Bear I found this Camo Bear in a OUT Shirt. I let David know the Camo Bear would be perfect for both my girls. David couldn’t figure out who I was talking about.

I had to explain to David which girls I was talking about and they were his daughter Leslie as who loves camo and my daughter Suzzane who wanted to attend OU for College and was killed before she had the chance to attend. Camo Bear would be a nice addition to my office.

David finally started to get excited and came into Build-A-Bear to look around with us. David found the Minions and wanted them for himself. There is a Dave in the  Minions movie which reminds us of David. I think the Minions would make a fantastic Fathers Day Gift. What do you think?

The last two animals I would want from Build-A-Bear were Smiley Monkey. . Suzzie’s middle name is Monkey Sue and she collected Monkey’s.

Having Smiley Monkey would be helpful.  I could keep Smiley Monkey inside my office. When I am missing Suzzane I can hug my Monkey, and it would be like having Suzzie with me.

The last items were Rainbow Friends Bear with Flowers with different colors all over the bear.  Suzzane and I would have liked Rainbow Friends Bear with Flowers a lot.

I think I was born in the wrong Century. I should have been born in the 70’s when there was Hippies and Bell Bottoms was in style. I would have fit right in.

I have a question for you have you visited Build A Bear and made something for yourself? What did you make and why? Or have you made a bear for your children? If so what did you make them and why?

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
