Brains On! Presents…Meet My Micro-Pets! by This book is written by Molly Bloom (Author), Marc Sanchez (Author), Sanden Totten (Author), Tiffany Everett (Illustrator) and part of Little Brown And Company who sent me a physical copy of the book in Exhange for my review.
Homeschooling makes me go out of my comfort zone in so many ways including teaching Science which I’ve been trying to get David to take over. Which hasn’t helped yet but I’m not going to give up. Until we decide what were going to do for sure we’ve been relying on books and Experiments and kits we find in our local stores.
This week though I was blessed to be able to share Brains On! Presents…Meet My Micro-Pets! with Charlie that had both of us thinking about thigs we wouldn’t usually think about. We found words we didn’t know as well as the answers to questions Charlie can share with his dad. Along with new things for us to study in our classes including stinky old farts.
Not only that Brains On! Presents…Meet My Micro-Pets! has gotten us to plan a Field Trip to the Library to pick up books on Farts as well as looking for Board Games at our local stores based on Farts. Then Charlie wants to make snacks that look like farts which is fine with me as long as they don’t smell like Farts.
Through the book Charlie and I learned about Microbiome’s and were all they are on our bodies and why we have them. Charlie has even asked to get a Microscope so he can see if he can see these in person which is going to lead to even more lessons in Science. Which is a Godsend for our family.
For those of us Homeschooling if you allow your children to watch videos in class which Charlie and I do. Then you will want to check out the creators of the Science Podcast Brains On Power episode “Fart smarts: Understanding the gas we pass (July 4th, 2017. Charlie even said you can come watch the video with us.
