Born To Be Wild

The Mommies Reviews

I was able to secure tickets to Born To Be Wild at the Omini Theater in Fort Worth on Tuesday. David had been before but had been wanting to bring Charlie who hadn’t ever been.

Born In The Wild

I was afraid once we got inside the Theater Charlie wouldn’t want to stay as heights bother him but we didn’t have any problems. When we return to see another show I will ask for help because you have to climb 59 steps to get to your seats. I will bring a light jacket to the Theater because it gets cold inside.

Once the movie began we were transformed and none of us wanted to leave when the film finished. Watching Born To Be Wild has helped me prepare lessons for our Homeschooling class.

From looking up the directors of the film, to Orangutans and Elephants. To new Field Trips as Charlie wants to go to the Fort Worth Zoo and see the animals up close and in person.

Charlie also wants to look into adopting a Elephant or a Orangutan and see if we can adopt one to take care of leading to even more lesson plans. David said if we can to also adopt one for him as well.

I asked David what he thought of the film and he said he was amazed at what all went into taking care of the Animals and he would like to visit Kenya and Borneo in the future.

To prepare us for a Trip to the Countries showcased in this film Charlie and I will be studying the habitat and types of food we would eat. Then we will study the animals we would see.

35 YEARS OF GIANT-SCREEN ADVENTURE

Since its opening on April 19, 1983, the Omni has earned a reputation as one of the most engaging learning environments in our community. For over 30 years, more than 10 million guests have journeyed to remote islands of the Pacific, explored deep under the ocean surface, splashed down the mighty Colorado of the Grand Canyon, stampeded across the vast Serengeti, traveled through the galaxy to the craters of Mars, and inched up the treacherous peaks of Mount Everest – all while never leaving North Texas.

With an eight-story domed screen and 30-degree stadium seating, the Omni Theater is the largest IMAX dome in the United States west of the Mississippi River.

The Omni’s 120-foot-wide screen places the audience in the center of the action, producing a sensation much closer to real-life than a conventional movie theater.
