Sight Words for Spelling 3rd grade

God morning, Since I had shared 2nd Grade Sight words for Spelling earlier this morning I thought I would share a list for 3rd grade as well. Now if your child is in a different grade and you need spelling words for them leave me a comment and I will try and put together a list for that grade as well. Or if you have Spelling resources for 4th grade Please share them with me as this is the list I need this year for Charlie as he will be in 4th grade when school starts back.

If your just starting to Homeschool your children then I thought I would share with you what Charlie and I do in Spelling each day and you can use my tips or come up with your own. As everyone’s style of homeschooling is different and unique. So I would like to know what you do so come and share your plans for spelling each week.

Each Friday Charlie will have a Spelling test for the first 5 weeks of the 6 weeks and the 6th week will be a test of all the words he has learned during those 5 weeks so I can make sure he is learning what he needs to.

Monday’s we will write Charlies spelling words 3 times per word in a different color pen.

Then we underline either the vowels on each word or the consonants  on Tuesday.

Wednesday we put the words in ABC order and use them in a sentence.

On Thursday we write the definition of each word using our children’s dictionary.

On Friday we take a test and anything under a 70 we work on over the

weekend and we redo the Test On Monday before we start our new words for the week.

Now here is our first list of words:
