I would like to share a Little Golden Book which you will find inside our Christmas Gift Guide 23: Bluey: Baby Race which I received a copy of in exchange for this review. Also check out the press release for Bluey: Baby Race here:
As a child I remember reading the Little Golden Books my parents would purchase for us and to this day they are some of my favorite books. Just as they were my daughter Suzzane’s and Charlies. Although the books have evolved over the years to include Television shows like Bluey and famous people including movie stars. I couldn’t wait to sit down and read this new story.
Before I share my thoughts with you I would like to let you know I am not familiar with Bluey which I’ve never watched and I don’t think Charlie has either. This week I plan on having Charlie watch Bluey for his Homeschool Drama Class. Would you like to join us?
In the meantime I wish you could see the cover of the book and all the puppies on it. Including a purple Poodle I would like to have. David said he liked the black Weiner dog and Charlie said he wouldn’t mind having all of the puppies and let me tell you there is a bushel of puppies.
The story begins at the park with Bluey, Bingo and Mum. Bluey wants to know if she is better at the monkey bars than Bingo. Mum reminds Bluey he is two years older. Then Bluey ask if he is better than Judo. Mum reminds him to run his own race. Then Mum tells Bluey about when he took his first steps.
You turned over pretty early and Mum let Bluey know she became a bit of a show-off because of it. Then Judo sat up all by herself. Bluey says it was a race and Bingo says a baby race. I wanted to get you walking before Judo. Bluey was sitting Judo was already crawling.
Instead Bluey would roll. Mum took Bluey to the doctor who said it was fine to roll before crawling. Bluey became a bum shuffler. While Judo was pulling up on furniture. Bluey wasn’t winning and then you begin to crawl backwards. That didn’t matter though Judo one the baby race.
Bluey ask Mum if she was upset with him and she said no, because they were all learning to do things for the first time and Mum felt like she was doing everything wrong. Then Coco’s mum came and showed Mum her family and let her know she was doing great.
Mum begins to cry and Bingo asked if they are happy tears. What do you think Mum said? From then on I decided to run my own race. Now, you need to check out Bluey: Baby Race here to see what else happens and if you know a fan of Bluey Baby Race would be the perfect gift not only for children but adults as well.
About:
Mum tells Bluey a lovely baby story – about how Bluey first learned to walk!
Baby Bluey could roll, shuffle and even crawl backwards… but Mum was worried that she was never going to learn how to walk.
This hilarious picture book is about how we all grow up in different ways.
