Welcome to our Blogging from A to Z Challenge: Letter G. Before you ask no, I am not caught up yet. But its okay one day I will be. In the meantime check out the Homeschool Resources I have shared with you.
If you’re looking for a complete curriculum for a language-based home-preschool experience, hours of high-quality family time, or something in between, Get Ready 4 Kindergarten has a program for you.
Us girls discuss, create, demo and interview all things “geek”. The coolest part is if your daughter has an idea for videos or tutorials, she could be interviewed!
Focuses on maps, flags, culture, languages, and travel. GEOgraphy Focus also includes profiles of countries and regions, descriptions of important landmarks and geographical features, and discussion of international issues.
Tests kids’ geography skills. Using images from Google’s Street View, it plops players down in the middle of the street and asks them to figure out where they are.
As for must haves in Homeschooling beginning with the Letter G I would say when purchasing school supplies you stock up on Elmer’s Glue. From Glue Sticks to bottle of Glue.
Don’t forget crazy or colored Glue including Slime Glue as well. Children can use these in there Art Projects throughout the year. As well as a Gallon jug of glue so you can replace the bottles of glue saving you time and money. As well as the Environment.
Even a glue gun and glue sticks can come in handy at times David and Charlie said when creating Crafts or Holiday projects. Always make sure there is a adult around if a small child is using these products.
For our Snack this week Charlie asked to make Granola to give to his Grandmother for her Breakfast. I can’t wait to see if David and Charlie try it as well. As for me I can’t say I will and I also can’t say I have ever tried Granola. Have you?

3 cups rolled oats
1 cup slivered almonds
1 cup cashews

1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons dark brown sugar
1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons maple syrup
1/4 cup vegetable oil
3/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup raisins
- Preheat oven to 250 degrees F.
- In a large bowl, combine the oats, nuts, coconut, and brown sugar.
- In a separate bowl, combine maple syrup, oil, and salt. Combine both mixtures and pour onto 2 sheet pans. Cook for 1 hour and 15 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes to achieve an even color.
- Remove from oven and transfer into a large bowl. Add raisins and mix until evenly distributed.
Thank you,
