I wanted to share a new children’s book with you. Because I’m Your Mom from Little Brown and Company sent my family a physical copy of this children’s book in exchange for this review.
As a mom I am sure you can relate to the title “Because I’m Your Mom which if you’re like me we say a thousand and one times a day. Which I wish I could say has gotten better since Charlie is turning 16 in December but somedays that isn’t the case and I want to find a whole to climb in and hide from the world.
Which is why I couldn’t wait to share this new children’s book with Charlie and David giving me the opportunity to go over what I go through with them on a daily basis. As I try and work from home while homeschooling Charlie and managing the home while David is out of the home at work. Not hearing mom. mom. mom a thousand and one times a day.
Don’t get me wrong I love my son more than life itself but sometimes I need a break. Through BECAUSE I’M YOUR MOM I was able to go back into time when Charlie was small and relive some of the things we did together. Reminding me that one day Charlie is going to be out of the house, and I will be wanting to say BECAUSE I’M YOUR MOM which will not count as much and not hold much merit.
If you’re feeling like this, then I suggest you and your family sit down and read BECAUSE I’M YOUR MOM as soon as possible. Act out some of the things this mom and her son do including learning a Dinosaur Dance which you can make up together. Using your imagination and creating new unique memories with your mom/
I wish you had the opportunity to see the dedication to Arrow and Halo which reminds me of what Charlie said to me when he was younger. Which was I love you more than Monster Trucks and Pizza. What more could a mom want from their son? I wish you could see what all this mom is going to do for her son that her mom would have done for her.
Only in my home when I was a child it wouldn’t have been my mom but my dad who not only did these things for me but also my daughter Suzzane and if he had lived closer, I’m sure my dad would have done this and so much more for Charlie. Which is why you always find me doing as many crazy and fun things as I cannot only for Charlie but my niece and nephew as well.
