My nephew started Kindergarten this year. I wanted to get him a special Gift. I knew I was going to be receiving two books from a series called Beato Goes To. I would be conducting a review on the books in exchange for the Author sending me the books. The thought in the reviews is mine and my families no, one else.
The first book I sat down to read was Beato Goes to Japan. I have always wanted to visit Japan. Charlie liked learning there was a cat in the story and is now following the cats Instagram page.
Charlie and I liked learning there were tips in this book we didn’t know about. Like finding out like “Japan is called the land of the Rising Sun” to find out why you will need to read Beato Goes to Japan.
Charlie and I were even able to learn the meaning of Japanese words. Charlie has decided he would like to learn Japanese which can be put on his College transcript. Language.
Charlie and I sat down to read Beato Goes to Brazil. Charlie loved the cover Beato Goes to Brazil and that the cat was also part of the story line. Charlie would like to have a cat of his own.
Which I believe would be a great way to teach Charlie respect and responsibility because Charlie would have to take care of the cat on his own.
I liked Beato Goes to Brazil teaches Charlie how respectable children in other countries are. Charlie can’t wait to learn more through this series of books. I plan on purchasing for not only Charlie but my nieces and nephews for Christmas.
Sucheta Rawal is a travel writer for CNN, Huff Post, Travel+Leisure, & author a series of children’s books – Beato Goes To. My Atlanta-based Norwegian Forest cat (his Instagram page) has become a champion for teaching diversity & compassion through his picture books, based in different countries featuring real kids that I met there.
By reading Beato Goes to Greenland, Israel, Indonesia, Japan & Brazil (releasing in September 2019), kids and adults can experience what it would be like to go to these countries without having to leave home.
Each story has learning lessons based on the country – respecting adults, protecting habitats of endangered animals, accepting differences, etc.
The idea of the ‘Beato Goes To’ is to have young readers be compassionate & open minded toward each other before they start elementary school.
I’m also a spokesperson on family & sustainable travel, having been to 85+ countries. Can you imagine visiting 85 Countries? That would be amazing especially if we were still Homeschooling full time.
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
