As we begin a new week Charlie and I are blessed as we will be visiting a Water Park this weekend. I can’t wait to go because both Charlie and I love to Swim.
Walking in a Wave Pool is a great way for me to get my Exercise in without being out in the Heat. Although I have caught a cold and if I am not better by Friday I may not be able to Swim.
This weekend will be lots of resting and walking when or if I can because I started my new Diet. Although if I don’t plan on pushing it and if I don’t feel better I will not get out and walk.
To keep Charlie entertained this week I made him this Beach coloring sheet and I put together a couple writing pages using prompts I came up with. Then I found a couple books about the Beach I want David to go and pick up this afternoon.
Writing Prompts:
- What I found when I visited the Beach
- What would I pack to take the Beach
- Traveling to the Beach here is what I saw and did
- Who I brought with me to the Beach
Books
Daisy Dawson at the Beach [Book]
Eloise Goes to the Beach [Book]
Join Eloise as she leaves The Plaza for a splendid, sun-soaked day at the beach! Pull the tabs, lift the flaps, and turn the wheels to see how our favorite city girl spends her oh-so-fabulous day.
Pete the Cat: Pete at the Beach [Book]
New York Times bestselling author and artist James Dean brings Pete the Cat fans some fun in the sun!
Pete the Cat is one groovy cat at finding shells and building sand castles at the beach. But when it gets too hot, there’s only one way to cool off—jump into the ocean! Except Pete might be a scaredy-cat when it comes to the water.
Pete the Cat: Pete at the Beach is a My First I Can Read book, which means it’s perfect for shared reading with a child.
At the Beach: Postcards from Crabby Spit [Book]
Sally Goes to the Beach [Book]
lama Llama Sand and Sun, by Anna Dewdney
Take a trip to the beach with the beloved, classic, and New York Times–bestselling odd couple Duck & Goose!
Duck wants to go on an adventure. But Goose isn’t so sure. Together, the two best friends set off on a walk that takes them through the meadow, past a shady thicket, and over a distant hill, all the way to a place they’ve never been before—the beach! Turns out, Goose loves the ocean. But guess who doesn’t?
Harry is a black dog with white spots who loves everything about the beach—except the heat. He just wants a shady spot to escape from the sun, but there’s no room for him under the family’s umbrella or in the children’s sand castle. A big wave comes along and cools Harry off, but it also leaves him covered in seaweed, making everyone think he’s a sea monster. (Seriously, did everyone learn nothing after Harry became unrecognizable covered in dirt in Harry the Dirty Dog?)
