This is a review for Bathing Kitty and Other Mischievous Poems published by L.W. Lewis. I received a copy of Bathing Kitty and Other Mischievous Poems in exchange for the review. The thoughts in this review is mine and my families.
Charlie will be studying Poetry this year in our Language Arts class this year. To keep Charlie interested in what we are learning I knew I would need to find funny or unique Poems for us to study.
Which is where Bathing Kitty and Other Mischievous Poems will come in handy. I just have to be careful that Charlie doesn’t try and wash the neighbors Kitty. LOL Charlie wouldn’t do that.
After sitting down and reading through some of the Poems with Charlie I knew Bathing Kitty and Other Mischievous Poems would be a book David would enjoy as well.
There is so many poems including a Poem about a Solider which we will use when we study the Armed Forces. Charlie liked The Remote Control Poem. Charlie said if his sister lived with us he would hide the remote control from her. But I could see Leslie doing a lot more than hiding Charlie’s Bike to get back at him.

Bathing Kitty is the fifth collection of poems from L. W. Lewis. His other books include The Tickle Tree and Why Do Flies Eat Doggie Poop? Lewis was born in Cleveland, Ohio.
He is a retired U.S. Air Force pilot and navigator. He was assigned to B-52’s during the Vietnam War and later flew fighters with the Flying Tigers. He was an Air Force instructor pilot. While assigned as an adviser to the U.S. Army, he attended Army jump school and has made 268 military parachute jumps.
He earned a B.S. degree from the University of Miami in Florida and a master’s degree from Oklahoma City University. His introduction to poetry began in the sixth grade and has been a part of his life ever since.
Lewis provides fun-filled, interactive poetry readings in schools (at no charge), where he uses his contagious enthusiasm to ignite the interests of children in this type of literature.
