Back to School Giving Backpacks Event

#Sponsored Post

Summer has come to an end for most children as their school will be starting soon and in the school, Charlie attends quite a few of the Students will not have the school supplies they need. As there, parents can not afford them. Today I would like to let you know through the help of Aldi and Real Advice Gal some of those children will be helped. As I am participating in a campaign called Aldi gives back.

Here is the information for our  Giving Backpack Event. As we partnered with Aldi this year to help children. Aldi offers school supplies and they also offer healthy lunch and snack options which will help the students in life. If you want to see if school supplies are available in your area check out their Aldi special buys list.

Aldi sent me $25 to help the children in my area.  I contacted Major Cheney Elementary school to ask them for a grade to purchase school supplies for. They suggested the 2nd grade and to pick up a Backpack for a boy as they had someone send in Backpacks for the girls.

I asked David and Charlie if they wanted to go with me to Aldi to shop for the school.  What surprised me was both said Charlie and David said yes.

We drove up to Aldi where I was able to purchase a backpack for a girl that I was able to take to the local Need and exchange for a boys backpack. Once we picked out the Backpack

I also picked up markers, pens, a lunch cooler and flash cards for the little boy. I asked Charlie if he thought these would be items the little boy would need and he said it was perfect.

Aldi is new in our area so David, Charlie and I walked around the store and let me tell you I was surprised by all the items Aldi carries. I found a couple school supplies I was able to pick up for Charlie.

As well as a lot of healthy snacks for Charlie and David lunches. Plus I found some snacks I purchased out of my own pocket to take to Charlie school for his classroom.

I was Blessed to be be able to work with Aldigivesback and #GivingBackPacks I cannot wait to see what our friends and family will be donating in the Spirit of giving.

If you haven’t done something like this why not give it a try? Because it made our family feel so good to know he was able to help someone else. Next year Charlie and I want to pick up supplies for both a boy and girl.

As a parent I have been Blessed to always have either mine or Davids parents help with Charlies clothes and school supplies. Although when Suzzane was little I was a single mom and I didn’t have help.

There were times she didn’t have the items she needed or I would have to ask Charities for help or wait and see if the stranger would donate supplies to the school and see if they had enough for Suzzane.

When Charlie started Major Cheney I saw how many kids were starting school without school supplies and jackets that I knew my family needed to help and to encourage our friends to as well.

Once I found out about this campaign I shared it with my mother n law and before I knew it she was purchasing school supplies out of her own pocket for the school.

When I went to drop off my Backpack at the school asked if I wanted to meet the parents of the student I had helped out and I couldn’t wait. It is a little boy named AJ and he is in Charlies class and they have become best friends and AJ has become a part of our home as he comes over to play. Davids mom has also adopted AJ and we will be helpin his family with Christmas.

You can get involved as well. Head to Aldi and buy snacks for the teacher to give to children in need and school supplies. Hashtag your purchase on social media so we can thank you
