Easter is right around the corner, and I wanted to find new books for Elijah. I could put them in his Easter Basket which I plan on putting together for Les and Toby to give him. As I looked for items to go inside the basket, I picked out a children’s book called Baby: Hide and Seek! Kindle Edition.
I picked this new book out as Elijah has started to crawl and always getting away from Les and she mentioned to me if she didn’t know better than she thought he was playing Hide and Seek with her. Hide and Seek is the perfect book for her to remember those times because before we know it, he will be walking then running, and we all know once that happens that there will be no stopping him.
I showed the book to David and Charlie, and they both said it would be the perfect Easter Gift for Elijah as it is small enough that soon he will be able to hold it himself. They said the colors and the picture would capture Elijah’s attention. Charlie mentioned two more reasons this book would be perfect for Elijah.
- On the cover is a dog which looks like Les dog Jango. So Charlie said with them having two dogs Les family would enjoy this new book a lot.
- The second reason is that there is a pail on the cover and the other day Elijah was sitting in the kitchen next to a pail playing, and Charlie said it reminded him of that pail. Charlie knew the cover would capture Elijah’s attention as the bucket is one of his favorite toys of all times.
I took the time to read the preview of the book, and I loved the storyline, and with it capturing my attention I knew it would also catch Charlie’s attention. I figure Les family would enjoy this new book as well. Hide and Seek is a book Charlie will be able to read to Elijah giving Toby and Les a much-needed break.
David and I thumbed through the book even David could read it which would allow him to bond with Elijah. I let David know he should record himself reading the book so Les could play it for the baby and he would get to know his grandparent’s voice since they live in another State.
Perfect for reading aloud and encouraging early word recognition, these books are just right for babies who love to explore shape and color.
Bright colors and simple, bold designs will grab baby’s attention. Simple, playful text makes it easy for reading aloud.
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
