August: A Spicy Tale with Sunday Strange and Cosa follows the story of our FMC, Sunday Strange (Wednesday Addams) as she grapples with the knowledge of becoming an immortal as she lives in her multi-generational family home. She experiences “visions” and utilizes them in a way to help law enforcement solve old, forgotten, cold cases. Reminding me of some of my favorite mystery novels.
Sunday spends a lot of her time in her bedroom with her handy friend Costa, helping her to relax and unwind. We’re then introduced to August (aka “Auggie) who gets into a car accident and goes to the nearest home in search of some help and to use a phone. The house he approaches is the Strange family’s home – and once he lays his eyes on Sunday, his dirty mind goes wild.
There is sexual content inside the book which even though the story reminds me of the Adamas family the scenes with the hands kept me from sharing the story with my son who is 16 and loves Wednesday as well as my husband because he doesn’t like watching or reading things about sex. Which shouldn’t stop you from checking out the novel.
