Artisan Center Theater

It has been a while since Charlie, and I saw a play together so today when I was online, I decided I would look up Artisan Center Theater. Which is located in Hurst, Texas to see what was playing. Charlie, David and I went last year and saw a play called Pinky And Blue which we all loved.

I wanted to return at Christmas to see some of there Christmas Shows, but we weren’t able to as we were so busy and then we got sick. We ended up spending a lot of time at home and now that we are all better and into Homeschooling full time I think it’s time to go out to Artisan Center Theater and watch a play or two because we can use these in our lessons.

Artisan Center Theater offers plays for children as well as adults. Once we see this event with Charlie then the next time we could leave Charlie at home, and I could talk David into taking me on a date, and we could see a play and have dinner. Since David and I haven’t been out alone since last year, and after the past couple weeks with my dad, we need some time together. Charlie could spend some time with his grandmother which he hasn’t done in a while.

As I looked on the site, I found Charlotte’s Web which we all like a lot, and it was one of my favorite children’s stories of all times. Please do not say this to David because he will deny it but both Charlotte’s Web and Dumbo make him cry. So this makes Charlie want to see it even more than he usually would.

If you would like to see Charlotte’s Web, you will need to purchase your tickets pretty quickly as I saw they were selling out some of the shows. I would hate for you to miss out on the event. Charlie and I will include this in our Homeschool classes, and f you’re looking for something new to teach your children this play is the perfect resource.

The second show I would like to see is the Miracle Worker The Story of Helen Keller as I read and read and read this book as a child. Although I am not sure, David would like it so I may take Charlie on a date and he and I could go and watch Miracle Worker. Or I might just let them drop me off, and they watch a movie while I see this new play. Or I can ask if any of my girlfriends if they would like to have a Girls Nite Out and go to dinner and see the event. I am sure some of them would want to as I bet they read the book as kids too.

Now that you know it has been a while since Charlie and I saw a play. How long has it been since you saw one? Which play did you see and where? Was it for Homeschool or just for fun and did you attend with your family or with your friends?

Don’t forget either before or after the plays to stop by Chick Fil A and have dinner with your family. As there is no, need to cook when you can get the best food ever right down the street and spend even more time with your friends and family.

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
