It’s Saturday, and time for us to share our Homeschool Resource for  Art with you. I would like to ask you to check out the Recommended Website: Download-a-Dinosaur

Download-a-Dinosaur

Age Range: All (All grades; children with parental supervision) This site has all kinds of downloadable and printable dinosaur designs that you can color, cut out, and glue together to make fun playthings and decorations.

When you get to the site you can watch a quick video. Then scroll down to see photographs of some of the creations you can make from the designs at this site.

Click on any of the dinosaur names you want to make. For example: Raptor, Stegosaurus, Spinosaurus, Tyrannosaurus Rex and more!

You can use the “Select A Dinosaur” dropdown box as well. Choose a dinosaur and click the “Go” button and a new page opens with the design and easy instructions for how to assemble it. Print out the design using your browser print option. These designs can be made in less than 30 minutes! It’s a great art project or craft activity – and educational too!
Recommended Website: The Singing Voice

Dr Who - June 13, 2010

Age Range: 13-18 (Grades 8-12, with parental supervision

This is a wonderful site for people who love to sing – and because it also contains some fascinating information on singing anatomy, technique, and the biographies of some singers, it can be used to enhance the study of subjects other than music as well.

When you get to the site, look under “About” to find information on:

  • Vocal Anatomy
  • Vocal Health
  • Vocal Technique

Under “Tips“, you’ll find:

  • For Singers
  • Your Answered Questions
  • Vocal Warm Ups
  • For Classroom Teachers
  • For School Kids
  • Multiple Choice Questions
  • Vocal Abuse Checklist

Links to other sites devoted to singing abound.

The site seems to be intended for users about high school level and up. Parents with young singers may want to preview the site, find the areas that will be of interest to your children, and explore that category with them.
Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
