I would like to share “Anomaly Aftermath” by Hugh Fritz I received in exchange for this review. Inside this post are my affiliate links if you click on the links and make a purchase I will make a small percentage from the products you purchase.
Anomaly Aftermath isn’t a book I would pick up to read especially after seeing the cover but I knew it might draw David’s attention or even Charlie’s. Just look at that SNAKE which would give me nightmares because I am scared of them. While David like’s Snakes and doesn’t mind being around them and Charlie is both like me and David.
Charlie isn’t scared of snakes, but he doesn’t like them around him although when he was little, Charlie would play with Grass Snakes with David. Now, remember I never said either of them were the smartest Acron on the tree. Once the book arrived I handed it to David who had fun examining the cover.
Charlie asked me if he would need to read the other books in the series before starting this one and I said no, it would still make sense as a stand alone which David liked because it didn’t tie him and Charlie down to reading more which they don’t like to do. David sat down and opened up the book and tried to read the novel on his own but struggled.
I needed up reading the book to David in the evenings before we would watch TV. Charlie heard me and came downstairs and sat with us before I finished the second chapter Charlie took the book and begin reading because he liked all the twists and turns. David and Charlie had fun discussing the characters.
Before I knew it a couple days had gone by and they had finished the novel. The next thing I know is Charlie and David are online looking up the Author to check out the other books and asking me if we can order them because Charlie wanted to read them in our Homeschool Reading Class. Hearing this let me know both Charlie and David enjoyed the story a lot and having these books would bring them closer together.
About; Anomaly Aftermath
Soleil is lost in time, launched through history at the hands of the Old Ticker. Now he is out of his element. He must adapt to his new home, hope it’s possible to return to his original time, and pray for a chance to correct some mistakes along the way.
Tyrell knows Flarence killed Darren. He wants revenge, though a mere human with limited resources has no chance of harming a Genie. But Roy’s body is failing to the point that not even Genie blood can sustain him. The cause of Roy’s slow death may give Tyrell the opportunity he needs to make Flarence suffer.
The Old Ticker’s designs have been leaked. Now they rest in deadlier hands and more mischievous minds. A pair of spell-casting revolvers were nothing compared with the new weapons being developed in secret. The Genies may have met their match when a scientist emerges armed with the most devastating firearm the world has ever known.
These three novellas are the culmination of the Mystic Rampage series—historical fiction, contemporary action, and near-future science fiction. Connecting them all is their shared theme of overcoming regrettable decisions to forge a brighter future.
