AN EPIC BIRTHDAY 143 YEARS IN THE MAKING: THE PICASSO SYMPHONY!

The Mommies Reviews

Breathtaking concert experience celebrating one of history’s greatest artists to premier in Paris in March 2025! I know I will not be in Paris then but I thought you might be or someone you know could live in Paris or plan on visiting Paris and would enjoy this celebration.

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – OCTOBER 23, 2024 – Produced by renowned music concert innovator Jason Michael Paul Entertainment, the highly anticipated “Picasso Symphony” – an unprecedented and breathtaking film Orchestra experience celebrates the artist’s life and legacy, perfect as we commemorate his birthday (October 25, 1881).

The show will have a grand premiere on March 1, 2025 in Paris at the prestigious La Seine Musicale and is being produced with the official authorization of Succession Picasso, Paris, 2024. Other in-demand scheduled dates include May 10, 2025 with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra at the Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth, TX, with many more performances being announced as they are confirmed.

An exploration and homage to the prolific genius of Pablo Picasso, “Picasso Symphony” blends stunning visuals with a curated arrangement of live orchestral music telling the story of Picasso’s life’s journey. The experience covers an extensive depth of the artist’s life, from his early years through his Blue and Rose periods, cubism, surrealism, and more.

The Spanish legend and consummate artist is most renowned for his world-famous paintings, but he also was a sculptor, printmaker, ceramicist, theatre designer, writer, poet, and global celebrity. His work has inspired and bewitched people around the globe, and he sits atop the mountain of the most influential and powerful artists of all time.

With this in mind, the “Picasso Symphony” delivers a stunning performance worthy of such an icon. The experience features music from renowned composers including Satie, Prokofiev, Milhaud, Holst, Britten, De Falla, Albeniz and especially Stravinsky, who actually became good friends with Picasso around the time of World War I.

They became pop culture mainstays in Rome and Naples, and the two icons would then spend years sharing pieces of art with each via the mail, with Picasso sending Stravinksy drawings and Stravinksy sending him sketches of musical scores. Picasso even created the cover art for one of Stravinsky’s records. To honor this incredible friendship, the symphony includes an intermezzo of a Clarinet Concerto that Stravinsky wrote and sent to Picasso; the 28-second original piece has been transformed into an original inspired three-minute intermezzo.

Jason Michael Paul – who has produced over 300 music concerts and is the producer and creator of the first stateside FINAL FANTASY concerts, The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddesses concerts, National Geographic’s Symphony for Our World, and Founder of JMP Entertainment – is the visionary behind the “Picasso Symphony”.

Paul notes, “Picasso literally changed the world with his artistry. Our concert experience immerses audiences in his life story and multifaceted works; we are thrilled to have the premiere in Paris, where Picasso lived for so many crucial years. Even though his birthday was 143 years ago, his impact – and the way this shows honors his work – is timeless.”
