I would like to share the CD “Ammu’s Treasures” by Grammy-nominated artist Chandrika Tandon which I received in exchange for this review.
Charlie and I will be listened to “Ammu’s Treasures” by Grammy-nominated artist Chandrika Tandon in our Homeschool Music Class. The CD contains 35 songs and 21 chants which will keep children and adults entertained for a while. Once the CD was over Charlie and I found ourselves humming the music for days,
Ammu’s Treasures, is produced by Chandrika with a stellar group of musical friends. It will be released by Soul Chants Music and distributed by Platoon on September 7. The CD will be available from Spotify, Amazon, Apple Music, YouTube, and at. Pre-save link HERE. All proceeds from this CD will go to the Krishnamurthy Tandon Foundation to support emotional and economic well-being.
Guest artists include , the Czech National Symphony Orchestra, and more. Charlie liked learning the production for the CD took place largely in New York studios and was led by John Kiehl, Scott Cannizzaro, Teese Gohl, and Mirek Vana. Charlie and I learned “Ammu” is a delicious term of endearment used in many parts of India, meaning happiness, sweetness, and purity which we plan on adding to our vocabulary this year.
Charlie liked how the CDs are broken down into 3 CDs so we can listen to one a day. Coming in the sleeves they come in allows us to leave one CD downstairs one upstairs and one in our car so we always have music to listen to. Charlie wanted me to tell you the box the CD’s come in is so cute in orange with the cutest Teddy Bear on the cover but you should look inside to see him in different poses.
On the back of the box is the Author smiling and having fun. She is so pretty and would make a wonderful friend. Look at the Teddy Bear on her shoulder. I wish I could hold her. How about you? There is a book with the CD’s and even stickers Charlie tried to capture for himself but there is two pages so each of us can have one. Although each page is different and its going to be hard to chose which one I want to keep.
The book is small enough to fit in our pockets or in our Christmas Stockings. I love how in the beginning of the book we learn about Ammu’s story. The pictures in the book are amazing and a lot of fun to look at. The book goes over each of the songs which will give Charlie something to write about in his Homeschool Creative Writing Class.
Charlie’s favorite song was “How Much Is That Doggy In The Window” which I remember hearing as a child. My favorite song was “I Will Bring You Flowers which Charlie used to pick at the park for me. David listened to the CD with us and he liked “There’s A Hole In My Bucket” which he said his grandmother used to sing just as mine did.
