The American Legion Craft Fair was on Saturday

The American Legion Craft Fair was on Saturday, and we had over 50 Vendors scheduled to join us. I have mentioned time and time again; it was in Gods hands as to what happened and who showed up. We ended up with 23 Vendors David said. Which at first I was a little upset about, but once I looked around and saw the set-up inside and outside it was plenty of Vendors. Everyone fits into the Hall correctly, and we didn’t step on each other.

As we got ready that morning, it got closer to 8 am, and no, Vendors had arrived I started to get a little scared, but it was OK as God was bringing the Vendors in his time, not mine.

Around 8 am they started to arrive everything just began to fall into place. And all of my stress went away. And the American Legion was a huge help in hosting the breakfast for the Vendors. And everyone enjoyed it a lot.

As 9 am approached all the Vendors begin to set up and were ready by 10:30 like we asked. And we did a brief announcement welcoming them to the American Legion and opened the doors.  And I stood back to take a look  around and I was so excited to see what I had done.

The only thing I was a little upset about was there weren’t as many shoppers as we had all hopped and Prayed. Once again it was in “God’s” hands, and we can’t make people come and shop.

But what I can say is the American Legion was “Blessed” with the Vendors who did come out as they had such a vast variety and made so many connections that will bring them into this Century and that is what they needed. Now they need to follow through on these connections.

And once the day was over and we counted out the money we made with the Vendors we had we made close to $1200 and through the food which was donated another $300 so this will allow the American Legion to adopt the last four families they wanted to take. Plus it also just might enable them to select more than the ten they had initially wanted to adopt. Plus each Vendor donated an item from there business that they can use with the families they choose.

Only everything is trial and error, and next time I will ask them to donate a new and unwrapped toy for a boy or girl. Instead of an item from there business. So we have enough things to adopt 15 children. As I know, it is what God would want us to do.

If you missed the American Legion Craft Fair this time its okay mark your calendars for January 2017 and come out and join us at our 2nd Craft Fair. As it will be fun to meet everyone then and see how we can grow as a Community.

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
