I would like to welcome you to the A to Z Blogging Challenge. This is the 11th year for the A to Z Challenge and the third or 4th time for me to participate. In this challenge were to post one post a day using the Letters of the Alphabet.
It’s April 1st and the first day of the A to Z challenge. For my theme I chose children’s books. Today is the letter A and I thought I would start off with a book Suzzane liked to reach when she was little.
The children’s book is Amelia Bedalia which I can’t wait for Lily to get a little bit bigger so I can share this book with her and Jason. Charlie even said we could come over to his house because he has Suzzane’s copy of Amelia Bedelia.
About:
Amelia Bedelia was first published in 1963. This special fiftieth anniversary edition of the very first book restores the original text, page design, jacket, and palette of the original volume. What else is the same? Well, the dressed chicken, dusted furniture, and that delicious lemon meringue pie, among other things. An additional eight pages of behind-the-scenes sketches, photographs, and information about the beginnings of this iconic character, the author, the artist, and Amelia Bedelia’s exploits throughout the years is included.
“No child can resist Amelia [Bedelia]and her literal trips through the minefield of the English language—and no adult can fail to notice that she’s usually right when she’s wrong.”—The New York Times Book Review
