Alamo Drafthouse DFW (8/26 – 9/1)

The Mommies Reviews
Sep 2, 2019, 9:50 AM (1 day ago)

Hello, its the first week of September and I can’t wait to see which movies my family will be seeing this month. In the meantime Alamo Drafthouse DFW is calling all movie lovers… Before I got to busy I wanted to share what’s happening at Alamo Drafthouse DFW (8/26 – 9/1)!

This week is all about the clowns. Lordy! Lordy!! It’s a good thing Suzzane isn’t here because she hated clowns and was freaked out by them. You wouldn’t have caught her at the movies if they were showing movies with clowns in them.

But if your not afraid Grab your oversize shoes and big red nose and head over to the IT: CHAPTER TWO – Clowns Only Screening. Travel back in time 80 years to one of the best years of Hollywood film making with the series 1939: Hollywood’s Golden Year.

Prepare for an arm-pumping dose of heavy-lifting Sylvester Stalone classics this month with the Stallone Zone series with films like DEMOLITION MAN, COBRA, and CLIFFHANGER. I hae a question for you did they forget Rocky films and Rambo? Which is what I would have preferred seeing if I was going to this festival.

I would like to let you know it would be my dream to attend North Richland Hills Screening: Grease Sing-Along at 7:30 PM on September 4th in memory of my daughter Suzzane.

When her and my nephew David was little I always had them watch Grease with me and they knew to stop the movie on the part where John is singing during the car scene and throws the Dice.

Then David grew up and Suzzane had passed away I didn’t think I would ever be able to share my love of Grease with anyone else but I have been able to because David would watch the move with me.

Then Charlie came along and I was able to share my love of Grease with Charlie. He also knows when we come to that one part of the movie we stop so I can admire John for a while.

I loved the T Birds so much when Charlie was little he even dressed up not only as Danny but Kenkie for me and I went as Sandi to a Halloween party at Charlie’s school.

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
