New age policies, discount kids tickets, and much more to welcome parents and children to the Alamo Drafthouse experience.
Dallas, TX — February 13, 2020 — Alamo Drafthouse Cinema is going all-in on family fun in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area with new Alamo Family screenings, policy updates, discounts and more. Set to begin today with the ticket on sale of Disney/Pixar’s ONWARD, Alamo Drafthouse DFW will welcome families with the following initiatives.
All Ages Screenings Just like it sounds, these special screenings for G and PG titles have lifted all age restrictions so babies, kiddos, and families of all shapes and sizes can join in on the all-ages fun. Nursing will be A-OK and a loosened No Talking policy will accommodate extra wiggles, giggles, and babies being, well, babies.
All Ages screenings will also include 20% off ticket discounts for kids 12 and under, activity sheets and crayons to keep little hands busy before the show, free rewards for kiddos, and a new kids menu that includes an interactive and super-fun DIY cookie-decorating kit.
Kid Friendly Screenings Special screenings of select PG and PG-13 titles intended for children age 3 and up (with a parent or guardian). Just like All Ages screenings, Kid Friendly screenings will offer a relaxed noise policy, 20% off tickets for kids 12 and under, activity sheets, kids menus, and free rewards.
Sensory Friendly Screenings Formerly “Alamo For All,” these all-inclusive screenings welcome babies, infants, nursing moms,and guests with autism or other sensory needs. These weekly screenings turn down the volume for sensitive ears and make the theater a little less dark so guests can safely and easily get up, walk around, tend to baby, and sift through diaper bags. Chatter, rustling, adaptive technology, and late arrivals are perfectly okay.

A simplified age policy for all screenings No more time-based thresholds. Children between the ages of 6 and 17 will be allowed at any time while supervised by a parent or guardian.
Alamo Drafthouse’s efforts will continue throughout 2020 and beyond, with plans to work with local school districts, attend family events, and create kid-friendly educational and entertainment content with national and regional partners. Known for a strictly enforced “No Talking and No Texting” policy, these are just the latest ways that Alamo Drafthouse is inviting younger movie lovers into the theater without sacrificing the cinematic experience for everyone.
