My family had the opportunity to attend AIR at Alamo Drafthouse Cedars which is at 1005 Botham Jean Blvd, Dallas, TX 75215 in exchange for this review.
I always like going to this Theater and coming outside at night to see all the buildings light up. Right down the street is Gilly’s and before you ask no, I haven’t made it inside yet, but one day I would like to go In the meantime you should stop by this Alamo Drafthouse and wander the halls looking at all the Posters.
Don’t forget to go inside upstairs to the Bar for a refreshing beverage and dinner before the movie. Did you know you can order food here and take it into the theater. Yes, they have tables with these chairs. Although for someone as big as I am its hard to get in and out of the chairs but that shouldn’t stop you from seeing a movie or two here.
We checked in and like I thought there would be there was a line for the movie. We were given seats in the last row which can be hard for me to walk up all the steps but last night it didn’t bother me. Nor did the height bother Charlie who was too excited for the film to begin to worry about how high up our seats was.
Charlie went over the staff with me and had fun researching all of the actors and sharing which movies the actors were in and why I would know them. I was excited to see Matt Damon who played Sonny Vaccaro. Charlie was excited to see Jason Bateman and Ben Afflack. We thought Ben Afflack did a amazing job playing Phil Knight.
This movie was full of fascinating facts about Michael Jordan and Nike as well as his family. I loved his mom in the movie who reminded me of my grandmother. With my son eating sleeping and living BASKETBALL this was the perfect family movie. I just wish my daughter Suzzane had been here to see it because she also love Michael Jordan and like Charlie is obsessed with shoes.
This movie has lead to many teaching moments for me to use in our Homeschool. As well as Field Trips to go to as well as checking into a Basketball game which we’ve never attended. Charlie was most excited to see the shoes they designed for him which looked like a pair he had in the past. I love how they created the logo of Jordan.
This movie does have a lot of cussing in it which I don’t condone but kids hear it every day of their lives. I wouldn’t let that deter you from taking your children to see the film which is now out in Theaters. If you do see this film let me know if you were left with questions, you wish they had answered because Charlie and I were. One of the questions was did he have sister’s or brothers?
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
